Freestyle

…With increasingly electrifying jumps and tricks, freestyle, or acrobatic skiing is a winter sport practiced on skis or snowboard. It is a ski discipline which began as a development of alpine skiing through the introduction of jumps, more complicated routes and various choreographies. The first World Cup was organized by the International Ski Federation in the 1979-1980 season, while the first World Championships were held in Tignes in 1986. Freestyle has been an Olympic discipline since Albertville 1992.
