Can I book in advance?

Yes, in fact it is always recommended, especially for periods of high attendance (Christmas and Carnival holidays) and above all if you prefer a specific teacher or a particular time.

After booking from home, do I also have to pay for the lessons?

Regarding private lessons, a deposit corresponding to the first day of lessons is sufficient, while the full payment is requested at our office before the start of lessons. By booking and paying for lessons remotely, one can bypass the need to stop by the ski school’s office before meeting the instructor. The group course, however, must be paid for entirely from home.

If I book multiple lessons/courses is there a price reduction?

There are no reductions for private lessons. For group courses it is possible to consult the discounts at the following link

How many people can take part in a private lesson at most?

Maximum 5 people of the same level.

Can I choose the time of the private lesson?

Yes, depending on the availability of free time slots.

Can I attend my child’s private lesson?

For the lesson to be successful, it is best if the child does not have sight of the parent in the vicinity. The child’s behaviour can be significantly impacted by the presence of the parent, particularly when the child is young.

Can I convert one or more ski lessons into snowboard lessons and vice versa?

Yes, but it is mandatory to cancel the lessons you wish to change by 4pm the day before the lesson in question. Otherwise, the advanced sum will be lost.

What is the minimum number of participants per group?

The group course is confirmed with a minimum of 5 people of the same level and age group per instructor. In the event that the minimum number is not reached, or the number of participants decreases during the week, the management reserves the right to cancel or adjust the duration of the course.

What is the maximum number of participants per group?

It depends on the type of course:

  • BABY COURSE: maximum 8 children with one teacher
  • FULL WEEK: maximum 8 students with one instructor
  • For all other courses the maximum number of students for each instructor is 12.

Can I choose the course time?

No, the time is pre-established for all group courses.

Can I convert the group course into private lessons?

Yes, by notifying the cancellation to the administration’s office on time, the unused course fee will be recognized (starting from the day after the cancellation) with a deduction of 10%, which can be used in private lessons, even for a student other than the one on the course. In periods of high attendance, the availability of individual lessons is not guaranteed.

If my child doesn’t like the group course from day one, have I lost all the money I paid in advance?

No, however, it is necessary to promptly communicate the withdrawal to the Ski School administration office, as the refund will be granted from the day after the cancellation.

If I miss one or more days of the group course during the week, am I entitled to a refund for those days?

No, the group course is a package of group lessons, and as such if you do not participate in one or more days during the week, these are lost.

Can I withdraw my child from the group course before the end of the lesson?

Yes, by getting approval beforehand from the group’s instructor.

Can I request a particular teacher?

When booking private lessons, it is possible to request a particular teacher or a specific type (e.g. woman/man, young/older…).

This is not possible for group courses.

I don’t get along well with the teacher assigned to me. Can I change them?

Yes, it is possible starting from the day following the communication of intention, based on availability.

Is it possible to have a teacher who speaks English?

Yes, it is advisable to submit your request ahead of time to ensure the availability of specialized instructors and equipment

I have to take part in a ski race, can I have a coach to train me on a track?

Yes, but it is necessary to book at least 2 hours. During the high season, due to the high turnout on the slopes, training is not always possible.

EQUIPMENT/RENTAL

Is a helmet mandatory?

Yes, it is mandatory up to 18 years of age. Afterwards it is highly recommended. It is important that the helmet complies with the technical requirements of the UNI EN 1077:2008 standard and that it is CE marked.

Is rental included in the price?

No, it is not included.

What type of equipment should I come to the lesson with?

At the ski rental you will be provided with everything necessary for the lesson. If you wish to purchase equipment, skis, boots, ski poles and, for those under 18, a helmet are all necessary.

Is the ski pass included in the price?

No, it is not included.

Where can I buy the ski pass?

Is there always an end-of-course competition?

No, it is organized after the end of the Christmas holidays and is at the discretion of the teacher of each group.

Is the race for children and adults?

No, the race is only for children who are not beginners.

Will the race still take place in case of bad weather?

Yes, if weather and snow conditions permit. Otherwise, it is cancelled.

Is there an award ceremony at the end of the race?

Yes, it is organized on Friday afternoon at the Prà Nasse School Camp

How can I reach the slopes?

The facilities can be reached by ski bus or with your own vehicle; the school does not provide transport service.

In case of bad weather, will the lesson/course still take place?

Both private and group lessons take place in any weather condition. In the event of closure of the designated ski area, the lesson will NOT be refunded if it can be moved to another facility of the same level. The refund will be carried out only if the weather situation prevents the opening of ALL facilities.

How early do I need to be for the appointment with the instructor?

It is always recommended to go to the meeting point a few minutes early. At the start of the lesson, the student must already be wearing the equipment and have the ski pass ready.

What happens if I am late for the lesson/course?

Any minutes late are lost (a possible recovery at the end of the lesson is at the discretion of the teacher, if available). In the case of a group course, it is necessary to contact your teacher or the administration’s office to try to reach the rest of your course. There is no refund.

At what age can you start skiing?

The minimum age for private lessons is 3 years old. For group courses the required age is 4 years old.

Can adults and children have lessons together?

No, there are different teaching and learning methods, which differ from child to adult.

Can I deduct the lessons when filing my tax return by making them part of my children’s sporting activities?

No, the purchase of ski lessons at ski schools or freelance ski instructors DOES NOT fall within the category that gives the right to a tax deduction for children between 5 and 18 years old; Deductible expenses for sports course registrations are restricted to amateur sports associations, a category which does not include the Ski School.
