Freeride
…gliding on powder like snow, leaving a signature on a snowy mantle. In alpine skiing, snowboarding and telemark, the term freeride indicates off-piste activity in fresh snow with a recreational purpose and fuelled by the search for a sense of freedom. For the ascent, lift facilities are used and sometimes, for short stretches, snowshoes, ski skins or a helicopter (where and when authorized). It is considered a discipline of intermediate difficulty, between alpine skiing and ski mountaineering, coming very close in some cases to the latter because of the off-piste activities and associated risks. Each region and autonomous province regulates this activity. Furthermore, it is advisable to trust local professionals who know the safest and most beautiful parts of our ski area well. The school has at its disposal backpacks equipped with shovels, probes and avalanche beacons for those who do not have them. It is imperative to always have this type of equipment on hand and in working order, both for your own safety and for the safety of your fellow adventurers. It is possible to book both single and small group outings. The instructor will evaluate everyone’s abilities and decide on the type of route to tackle.
